Terms of Service
1. Services
Detail by Charlie provides mobile car detailing services, including interior and exterior detailing, full detail packages, and add-on services.
All services are performed at your nominated location. You are responsible for ensuring safe access to the vehicle, a suitable work area, and access to water and power unless otherwise arranged. If these conditions are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule the booking, and a call out fee may apply.
Service outcomes may vary depending on the condition of the vehicle. Any significant changes to scope or pricing will be communicated before we proceed.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a service if the vehicle condition or environment is unsafe or unsuitable.
2. Bookings & Deposits
Bookings can be made online or by contacting us directly. Your booking is confirmed once you receive confirmation.
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and will be applied to the total cost.
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or failure to attend will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
We may reschedule bookings due to weather or unforeseen circumstances and will provide an alternative time where possible.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and are starting prices unless otherwise stated.
Final pricing may vary depending on vehicle size, condition, and level of contamination. Any additional charges will be discussed before we proceed.
Payment is due in full upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash, debit and credit cards, and bank transfer. Card payments may incur a surcharge.
4. Vehicle Condition & Responsibility
By booking, you confirm you are authorised to approve work on the vehicle.
You agree to disclose any known pre-existing damage or conditions that may affect the service.
We take care when working on your vehicle, but we are not responsible for pre-existing damage, including scratches, dents, stains, or defects that may become more visible after cleaning.
Please remove all personal belongings prior to the service. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Detail by Charlie is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use or inconvenience.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid for the service provided.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Weather & Access
Services may be rescheduled due to unsuitable weather conditions.
Customers must ensure safe and appropriate access to the vehicle at the scheduled time.
7. Satisfaction & Refunds
Refunds are generally not provided once a service has been completed.
If you are not satisfied, please contact us within 24 hours so we can review and resolve the issue where possible.
8. Privacy
We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
